A four-person CABTS delegation headed by Vice President Guo Zhiqi visited Australia from November 21st to 28th, 2012. The objective of the visit was to learn the experience of agricultural vocational and continuing education in Australia and further promote the development in China.
From the visit to Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT) and several other TAFE institutes, the CABTS delegation learned about the curriculum setting and evaluation system of TAFE institutes, as well as presented on the CABTS system, teaching media and farmers’ education in China. Both sides also exchanged ideas on the contents and ways of future cooperation.
The delegation also visited a demonstration farm at the Central Economic Zone of Australia, and learned about modern agricultural development and the production and management of professional farmers in Australia. The delegation had a meeting with the officials from Agricultural Development Branch of NSW Department of Development, and had a better understanding of farmers’ training and agricultural technology extension in Australia.
The visit was a full success and achieved the expected goals.
