A Memorandum of Understanding of cooperation was signed

Invited by Mr. Janet Poley, the President and CEO of The American Distance Education Consortium(ADEC), Mr. Zeng, the executive vice president of Central Agricultural Broadcasting and TV School(CABTS) and Mrs. Li Fanghong, vice director for international cooperation of CABTS attended the annual meeting of ADEC from 21 to 25 April, 2008. As one of an important item on the agenda of the meeting, CABTS and ADEC signed the Memorandum of Understanding. In his speech, Mr. Zeng said 'The United States is a developed county. Its distance education has age-old tradition. By taking a series of innovations of science and technology, the distance education in the United States has achieved a substantive progress. The national conditions of our two countries are different, and the approaches and modes adopted by our two countries for distance education are also different. There are great potentials and high values to strengthen our cooperation in distance education and training.'

 

    

 

ADEC is a non-profit distance education consortium composed of approximately 62 state universities and land-grant colleges. The consortium was conceived and developed to promote the creation and provision of high quality, economical distance education programs and services to diverse audiences, by the land grant community of colleges and universities, through the most appropriate information technologies available.
