Innovative training methods for greater competence in international agricultural cooperation



  At 14:30 Beijing Time and 08:30 Rome Time of June 13th, 2016, a distance lecture was commenced. This was the second lecture of the First Training Session of To-Be Agricultural Diplomats, and the lecturer was Mr. Niu Dun, Representative of China to UN Food and Agricultural Agencies in Rome, Italy. When as the Vice Minister of MOA, Mr. Niu Dun placed high value on the capacity building for international agricultural cooperation. This distance lecture was especially designed upon the invitation of CABTS for the training session, and was a test of the use of modern IT in conventional training programs.
  The audio and video of the lecture was transmitted in a two-way approach. During the lecture, Mr. Niu Dun also had exchanges with certain management staff at the Session, and answered the questions from trainees afterwards.


  60 trainees from 31 MOA affiliated institutions attended the Session. Ms. Lu Hong, Deputy Director General of Personnel and Labor of MOA, Mr. Zhao Weining, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation of MOA, Mr. Ni Hongxing, Director General of Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of MOA, Mr. Li Yan, Deputy Director General of Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of MOA, and Mr. Tian Guishan, CABTS Vice President attended the lecture.
