13-15 September 2010, executive vice president of the Central Agricultural Broadcasting and Television School (CABTS) led a delegation took part in the 2010 Standing Conference of Presidents (SCOP), which was hosted by University of South Africa (Unisa) in Pretoria.
The theme of SCOP is Bridging the Development Gap. A Policy Forum on the day before the SCOP meeting was highlight how national and regional policies related to open and distance education can promote or hinder the development of “Education for All”. Following the Forum, five sub-themes were be pursued including: access, participation, success and graduateness, knowledge transfer,education for all – policy, planning and practical implications for higher education, globalizing higher education – cooperation, partnerships and exchange under the rubric of the ‘Bridging the Development Gap’.
About 70 delegates attended the meeting, including CABTS, Central Radio and TV University, Shanghai Radio and TV University, and Jiangsu Radio and TV University from China.
