Second Training Session for To-be Agricultural Diplomats held in Beijing
From July 18th to 22nd, the Second Training Session for To-be Agricultural Diplomats was co-hosted by Department of Personnel and Labor of MOA and CABTS in Beijing. CABTS Executive Vice President Liu Tianjin and Vice President Tian Guishan attended the opening ceremony. 50 trainees from all over the country attended the Session.
The 5-day training was composed of specialized lectures and group discussions, focusing on 8 topics, namely world pattern and China’s foreign policies, competence and capacity building of agricultural diplomats, international cooperation of agricultural technology, etiquette for international affairs, international and domestic agricultural policies, agricultural overseas investment, and hot topics at agricultural negotiations. Officials from MOA and MOFA, and scholars from research institutes and universities were invited to deliver lectures. At the group discussions, trainees had intensive exchanges on China’s agricultural opening-up and cooperation, shared their gains at the session, and came up with observations and suggestions.
At the closing ceremony on July 22nd, CABTS Vice President Tian Guishan attended and delivered a speech, while representatives from four trainee groups made presentations respectively, and one trainee shared his past experience of working overseas.
